We are a family oriented General Practice Doctors Surgery in the centre of Plympton Park, South Australia, servicing Plympton, South Plympton, Glengowrie, Edwardstown, Ascot Park, Marion and Clovelly Park.

Our medical practice is dedicated to providing you and your family with personalised, professional, quality healthcare. We have a team of dedicated friendly doctors and staff who will be pleased to assist you with your healthcare needs.

Our purpose designed facility enables us to provide you with care in modern and comfortable surroundings.

We Pride ourselves on our ease of access being open 6 days a week, and we also offer same day appointments!

Our belief is: you should be able to see a doctor when you are ill, not 2 weeks later.

Our focus is on providing professional, personal care, from the moment you first call, an important part of this is getting to know you, and understanding your life situation, because we believe this allows us to provide you with more effective and well-rounded treatment.

We provide the full range of general practice care including chronic disease management, health assessments, childhood immunisations, vaccinations, skin checks, pap smears, contraceptive implant insertion/removal, shared care and other minor surgical procedures.

DOCTORS THAT LISTEN: We asked patients what is the most important thing they want in a Doctor? You won’t be surprised to learn that confidence in the doctor, a doctor that takes the time to listen and explains things well and the feeling of not being rushed, came at the top of the list. These are the qualities we look for in our doctors.

NURSES: Today nurses play an active role in general practice. Our qualified nurses, located in the fully-equipped treatment room add the flexibility and efficiency of the services available to you. A sample of the many services our nurses provide are immunisations, wound care, chronic disease care plans, health assessments.

RECEPTION TEAM: Absolutely indispensable to the smooth running of the medical centre, our reception team members are chosen for their competence and natural service attitude. You can rely on them to make you feel welcome!

Unfortunately, the bank now charges us to exchange monies for smaller donimations. We accept all debit and credit cards. Patients who pay with a debit card can be refunded their Medicare rebate immediately (please bring the physical card to the appointment)

No drugs of dependance will be prescribed to a patient (or new patient) without a comprehensive medical history.

  • I need a new script, do I need an appointment?

Yes, you will need to see your doctor or have a telehealth appointment to have a script written. Doctors have a duty of care and need to determine if you should be prescribed a medication based on various factors, or if you should continue or cease taking a medication they may have prescribed for you previously.

Our Doctors do not respond to phone calls or emails requesting prescriptions, sick leave certificates, referrals etc.

If you require any of the above, you must make a doctors appointment. Please call us on 8277 0999 or book via HotDoc

  • Why do I need an appointment to get to my results? Why can't you email them to me?

At Plympton Park Day & Night Surgery, we encourage you to speak with your doctor about when and how you should receive test results. Depending on the test that has been undertaken, a consultation may be required to receive results. It is the patient’s responsibility to follow up on their test results, and we actively encourage patients to be proactive in their healthcare and book an appointment for results before leaving the practice.

Unless encryption is used, email is not a secure platform for communicating sensitive information such as test results. Also, to protect your privacy, you should never email personal information such as your birth date, address, Medicare card number, etc. to our practice. Reception staff are NOT able to provide any results over the phone

  • My usual doctor is booked out today. Can you please fit me in?

If your usual doctor is fully booked and you need to see a doctor today, please call us on 8277 0999, and we will, depending on the circumstances, try to book you in with your usual doctor, or if this is not possible, another doctor who has an appointment available.
